SEO & Blog Writing Prompts – how to use them

In SEO prompts AI is more useful for finding which questions a topic must answer than for stuffing a keyword into text. Have it list the questions readers might ask, draft an outline and spot missing sections. The page’s real value comes from your own accurate answers to those questions.

Forcing the keyword in repeatedly, or applying one template to hundreds of pages, risks trouble with search engines. Check meta titles and descriptions yourself too: length, click appeal and fit with the page. Do not let the AI invent statistics or sources; verify any numerical claim yourself.

  • List reader questions first, then outline.
  • Keep meta titles under 60 and descriptions under 155 characters.
  • Do not copy one template across many pages.
  • Find the source for any numerical claim yourself.

Example: a weak prompt and a strong prompt

Weak prompt

Write for SEO.

Strong prompt

Write a meta title and meta description. Page topic: a tool that merges PDF files in the browser. Main keyword: merge pdf. The title should be at most 60 characters and the description at most 155, and both should encourage clicks.

Sample output generated with Claude

Meta title (50 characters): Free Merge PDF – In Your Browser, No Upload

Meta description (150 characters): Merge PDF files into one in seconds. Your files are processed in your browser and never uploaded to a server. Free and no signup.

Note: use claims like “never uploaded” only if your product really works that way.

This output is an example from running the strong prompt above with Claude. Results can differ in ChatGPT, other tools or at other times; check the output yourself before using it.

Frequently asked questions

Does AI solve SEO automatically?

No. It is good for ideas, outlines and question lists. Rankings depend on real content value, page experience and the site’s overall trust.

How many times should I use the keyword?

Do not aim for a number. Cover the topic in natural language and use the keyword naturally in the title and opening paragraph.

Can I produce hundreds of pages with these prompts?

I would not. Mass-produced pages from one template with no original information can count as low-value content. Add real, page-specific information to each one.
