Translation Prompt Builder - DigiKitApp

Build a ready translation prompt to paste into an AI tool.

When should you use this?

Use this when you need to prepare a structured request (source language, target language, tone) for AI to translate a piece of text.

When shouldn't you use this?

If it's a formal document being translated (a contract, a medical report), don't treat the AI translation as final; those need a certified or professional translator, an AI output should only serve as a draft.

Step-by-step

  1. Paste your text into the Text to translate field. If it's a particular kind of text, such as a product description, an email or a menu, mention that at the end of the prompt for a better result.
  2. Type a two-letter code into Target language code (e.g. en). Common ones: tr for Turkish, de for German, fr for French, es for Spanish, ar for Arabic, ru for Russian.
  3. Click Run. The result area shows a ready translation prompt with your text and the target language.
  4. Copy the prompt into your AI chat tool and review the translation it gives you.

Example

A guesthouse owner wants to send booking confirmations to German-speaking guests. She pastes the confirmation email and enters de as the target code. After running the prompt in an AI tool, she checks that check-in and check-out times, the address and the cancellation terms came through intact. Register matters too. German guests generally expect the formal form of address, so it's worth adding a note asking for formal language.

A translation prompt, not a translation

This tool does not translate; it wraps your text in triple quotes and puts a translation instruction in front of it. The target language field is free text; you can type “de”, “German” or “Almanca”. If you leave it empty, “English” is used on the English page and “İngilizce” on the Turkish page. Example (English page): with the text “Good morning” and target “de” the output is the line “Translate the following text into de. Preserve tone and meaning, do not add commentary:” followed by the text in triple quotes. On the Turkish page the instruction is given in Turkish. Typing the name of the language instead of a code makes the instruction easier for an AI tool to follow.

Usage notes

  • The translation itself is produced in the tool where you paste the prompt, not on this page.
  • The text is required.
  • The tool is not connected to any server; the prompt is built in your browser.

Things to keep in mind

  • Some languages have strong regional differences. Codes like pt-BR for Brazilian Portuguese and pt-PT for European Portuguese tell the AI exactly which variant you want.
  • Idioms and jokes lose their meaning when translated word for word. Check whether the translation replaced them with something natural in the target language.
  • Date and number formats vary. 03.04 reads as April 3 in some countries and March 4 in others, so writing the month as a word avoids confusion.
  • If you don't speak the target language, have a native speaker take a quick look before anything goes to a customer.

Does this tool use real AI?

No — to avoid keeping an API key in the frontend, this tool generates a ready, well-structured prompt/draft you can paste into an AI tool like ChatGPT or Claude yourself.

Why doesn't it generate the final result directly?

A real AI call would require an API key and server cost; instead we give you a quality starting point that saves you time.

Is it free?

Yes, this tool is completely free.
