Paraphrase Prompt Builder - DigiKitApp
Build a ready paraphrase prompt to paste into an AI tool.
When should you use this?
Use this when you need to prepare a request for AI to rewrite a text in different words while keeping the same meaning.
When shouldn't you use this?
Don't use it to just reword someone else's writing and pass it off as your own work (plagiarism); that's an academically and ethically problematic use.
Step-by-step
- Paste the passage you want reworded into the Text field. Working with one or two paragraphs at a time, instead of a whole document, makes the result much easier to check.
- Choose a Tone. The same paragraph needs different wording for a formal report than for a blog post.
- Click Run. The result area shows a ready paraphrase prompt that includes your text and the tone you picked.
- Copy that prompt into your AI chat tool, then put the new version next to the original and compare them.
Example
You want to reuse an internal announcement in a customer newsletter. The original is full of jargon and written for colleagues. Paste it in, pick a friendlier and plainer tone, and the prompt asks the AI to keep the meaning while simplifying the language. When you read the output, check that dates, product names and numbers survived unchanged. Those are the details most likely to slip during a rewrite.
Three templates
This tool does not rewrite the text itself; it wraps your text in triple quotes and puts a rewrite instruction in front of it. The instruction is chosen by the tone field: “professional” or “formal” (“resmi”, “kurumsal”) asks for a concise professional tone; “friendly” or “casual” (“samimi”, “sıcak”) asks for a friendly, natural tone; anything else, or an empty field, asks for a clearer rewrite. Example: with the text “The meeting was moved to Friday.” and tone “professional” the output is the line “Rewrite the following in a concise professional tone:” followed by the text in triple quotes. You then paste the result into an AI tool.
Usage notes
- The text is required; if it is empty the tool shows an error.
- The instruction comes in the language of the page, while your text stays in the language you wrote it.
- Splitting a long text into sections and rewriting them separately usually gives more consistent results.
Things to keep in mind
- A paraphrase doesn't always mean the same thing as the original. Negations and conditions can flip, so read those sentences closely.
- Rewording a quote doesn't remove the need to credit its source.
- Legal and technical writing contains terms with no true synonym. You can tell the AI tool to leave those words untouched.
- Strip out or mask confidential client details and personal data before pasting any text into an AI tool.
Paraphrasing works best as an editing aid: to adjust tone, to shorten a clunky sentence or to explain something to a different audience. Your own judgment is still what decides whether the new version says what you meant.
