Meme & Quote Card Generator

Enter your top and bottom text, pick a color, and download a shareable social media image.

When should you use this?

Use this when you want a quick visual card for a short, punchy quote or joke to share on social media.

When shouldn't you use this?

Don't share someone else's quote as your own without attribution; long text doesn't work well in this format, keep it short.

Step-by-step

  1. Type the setup in Top text. That might be a question, a situation or the name of the person you are quoting.
  2. Type the punchline or the quote itself in Bottom text. If one line says it all, keep the other field short.
  3. Choose Green, Blue, Purple, Orange or Black under Color theme. Matching the colors you already use on your account makes a run of cards look like a series.
  4. Click Run, check the image and download it.

When is it useful?

It suits moments when you want a shareable text image without opening an editing app. Announcing an event with a bit of humor, posting a line that stuck with people after a talk, or celebrating a small win in a team channel all work well as a simple card. You get something tidy to post in a few seconds, with no design skills needed.

Example

You run the Instagram account for a book club and share one line from the current book every week. Put the author's name in the top text, the line in the bottom text, and stick with one color theme. Followers start recognizing your posts in their feed before they read a word. Keeping the same layout for a month gives the profile a more consistent look than a set of one-off designs.

What the card looks like

The tool produces an 800 × 800 pixel PNG card. The background is a diagonal gradient between the two colours of the theme you pick (Green, Blue, Purple, Orange, Black). The top and bottom text are white, bold with a dark outline, wrap onto lines automatically and are converted to capitals. On the Turkish page capitals follow Turkish rules (“iş” → “İŞ”). A small “digikitapp.com” line sits at the bottom of the card. You only need to enter at least one of the top or bottom text.

When making a card

  • The more text, the more lines; very long text can run off the card. Keep it short and punchy.
  • The tool does not upload photos; the card sits on a colour gradient only. To use your own image, combine the downloaded card in another app.
  • When sharing someone else's quote or image, give the source, and never attribute invented quotes to real people.
  • When using the result on social media, check that a square image fits the platform's size.

Things to keep in mind

  • Write for a phone screen. A bottom line that wraps past two lines is easy to scroll past without reading.
  • Credit quotes to the right person. Misattributed quotes spread quickly once they are in image form.
  • Preview accented or non-English characters before downloading to make sure they render correctly.
  • Jokes about real people or brands should avoid insults and claims that could mislead.
