JPG/PNG to PDF Converter

Combine one or more JPG/PNG images into a single PDF, one image per page.

When should you use this?

Use this when you need to turn several photos (scanned document pages, receipts) into a single PDF in order, to send as one file.

When shouldn't you use this?

If the images are low resolution, converting to PDF won't make the text more readable, check image quality first. Also, if you're sending just one photo, converting to PDF might not be necessary at all.

Step-by-step

  1. Put the images you want in the PDF into one folder and name them in page order, starting with 01, 02, 03.
  2. Click the "JPG/PNG images" field and select all the images together in the file picker.
  3. Click "Create PDF and download". The PDF downloads automatically, one image per page.
  4. Open the PDF and scroll through it. Once the order and orientation look right, send it.

Example

Back from a business trip, an employee has to send seven receipts to accounting as a single file. They photograph each receipt on the desk, move the photos to the computer and rename them in date order, like 01-taxi and 02-hotel. Selecting them all and creating the PDF gives one seven-page document. Accounting opens a single attachment instead of seven and checks the receipts in order. Jotting the expense category on a sticky note next to each receipt before shooting it makes matching them up later easier.

Converting images to PDF

Collecting one or more images into a single PDF is handy for sending and printing documents. Page order follows the order images are added. Files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to a server.

When converting

  • Sort the images before adding; changing the order afterwards can be hard.
  • Low-resolution images look blurry in the PDF too.
  • Many high-resolution photos make the file large; compress them first if needed.
  • For official applications check the required format and size limit.

Things to keep in mind

  • Shoot close enough that the paper fills the frame. Any desk or floor around the edges ends up taking space on the PDF page.
  • If a landscape photo shows up sideways in the PDF, rotate and save the image first, then build the PDF again.
  • Lots of high-resolution photos make a large PDF. If you hit an email attachment limit, compress or resize the images first.
  • The text in the resulting PDF isn't selectable or searchable, since each page is a picture. Use the OCR tool if you need the text.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser; your PDF file is never sent to a server.

Is there a file size limit?

There's no fixed limit, but very large files may process more slowly depending on your browser's available memory.

Does this work on password-protected PDFs?

No — password-protected PDFs can't be opened, so you'll need to remove the password first.
